History

Founded in 1978 as a small family business, in its beginnings as Granja La Taba, the company has evolved thanks to constant effort, passion for agribusiness and the pursuit of excellence.

Our mission goes beyond egg production. Today, we have developed a vertical integration that allows us to fully control every stage of our process. We are a company that produces fresh eggs, cereals, animal feed, oil, and egg packaging from cellulose fiber pulp, all under strict quality and sustainability standards.

Takeda + tamago = Takmago

Takmago fuses a history of unity and family tradition. It was born from the union of «Tamago» – the Japanese word for egg – and «Takeda» – the founding family's surname.

The connection with Japanese culture is not a coincidence, but a distinctive feature also reflected in the name of Cyclamen—another of the family's business units. Its name recalls the well-known "Alpine Violet" flower species, a plant brought to the country by the family to continue their tireless heritage.

Takmago's production cycle begins on our rearing farms with the care of our future layers. From their first day of life until they are 16 weeks old, the hens receive balanced feed from our own production, under the constant supervision of our specialized veterinary and nutritional technicians. When they reach maturity, they are transferred to the laying farms, where they remain for 85 to 90 weeks.

The quality that distinguishes us is built at every stage. All our facilities are automated, contributing to rigorous control and efficiency in the final product.

Our production is complemented by the cultivation of cereals, which are converted into balanced feed for our animals or used for internal consumption. By using our own specialized machinery, we can carry out more efficient and effective farming, which benefits the quality of the final product and the functionality of our processes.

En Takmago, la comercialización se realiza de forma directa por diversos canales: minoristas, medianos, mayoristas, supermercados y consumidores finales. Nuestra logística se apoya en un depósito de 1400 m2 en Hurlingham, ubicado estratégicamente para tener mayor cercanía con todos los puntos de venta. Un equipo de 18 colaboradores gestiona la distribución y entrega con una flota propia de más de 30 vehículos que garantizan una distribución efectiva.

En Takmago, la calidad no es solo un objetivo, es un compromiso permanente. Por eso, contamos con un laboratorio propio de control de calidad, donde analizamos cada etapa del proceso productivo: desde la alimentación de nuestras aves hasta las condiciones del producto final.

Nuestro laboratorio está equipado con tecnología de análisis microbiológico y fisicoquímico, contando con estrictos protocolos nacionales. Implementamos un sistema de trazabilidad total, que permite rastrear cada producto desde su origen hasta su destino final, garantizando confianza y seguridad.
